This blog is a collection of photographs of the contents of cassettes recorded off the radio by me between 1989 and 1997. The cassettes themselves are no longer in my possession - some were left behind in Nottingham when I moved to London, the rest were among items burgled from a flat in Stockwell in November 2000.
Most of the recordings were of the John Peel Show on BBC Radio 1, along with bits of Mark Radcliffe's Out on Blue Six, Pete Tong's Essential Selection, Mixing it on BBC Radio 3, and various other odds and ends. Some tracks are unknown and some of the spelling leaves a bit to be desired, but, as a snapshot of one man's listening habits, I hope it makes interesting reading. The aim is to upload one photo per day (there are about 230 in all) until I'm done. To keep you on your toes, the playlists will be uploaded randomly rather than in chronological order. Thanks for dropping by.
